About the event
Come and lend a hand in our upcoming autumn super working bee to give some much needed love to our favourite climbing crags at Hillwood and Cataract Gorge. No previous experience or skills required - just a positive, can-do attitude!
This working bee will be held at two separate locations with crews assigned to each. Please meet the crew at Beta Park, Launceston (if possible) at 08:15 am where we will assign people to locations according to preference before carpooling to the sites. Each working bee duration is estimated to be from 09:00 am - 12:00 pm.
We will be doing a general tidy up, a little bit of track work, have a few people on whipper snippers at Hillwood (please bring one if you have one!), a little bit of trimming, and an all time favourite - weeding by hand! The working bee will be followed by tea and bickies.
Please wear suitable clothing and footwear, bring a hat, gardening gloves and any tools you think may be of use (if you have them), and a can-do happy attitude! New faces are always welcome (and strongly encouraged - we need good numbers to get the jobs done at both locations!).
As always, please make sure you register so we know who will be there. Registration is via the Wildcare website here. You will need to be a Wildcare member to register - this membership helps cover insurance and other important things!
